Poured from a 2 L growler. I missed it when they brewed it last summer so I made sure to get it this time. It pours a cloudy yellow with a big 3 finger bone-white head that sticks well but leaves little actual lacing. It smells of lemon, spices, and clean malts with spicy/grassy, perhaps husky hops. The first sip reveals juicy orange peel, coriander, lemon juice, pale malts, and a surprising hop profile that is hidden but there, leaving some spicy/grassy/citric notes and a mild bitterness (24 IBUs). The body is light to medium, and is almost creamy, but it is also quite refreshing and highly drinkable, making it a great session beer. This beer needs to be brewed in the middle of the summer, though, to help relieve the heat/humidity of Virginia's warmer months.
