Brewed for and released on St. Patrick's Day. Poured from growler into pint glass.
Head is off-white with low retention, which I like in this style, but produces nice thick lacing. The beer is a crystal clear amber-brown color with some reddish orange hues in the light.
The aroma is light but very good. There is a tea/herb aroma with some caramel and bready notes.
Nice bready malt backbone has a touch of sweetness. A crisp bitterness, 24 I.B.U.s, comes on near the end and lingers into finish. Alcohol very well hidden with the hop bitterness in finish, which is not too strong to not fit the Irish Red Style, as most American interpretations due.
The mouthfeel is dynamic, oily at first then powdery in the finish.
Great drinkability. Neutral, pleasant taste hides the 6.5% alcohol. I can easily finish this growler in the corse of this evening.
