(Notes of August 2008) Tasted by a half-pint and served on gravity at the "Town Mill", a Wadworth's pub situated in a real (roughly) four-hundred-year-old town-mill (water mill) in the centre of Andover. The cask was one of around 16 served during the pub's mini-beerfestival in late summer 2008.

A: dark amber, slightly murky, no sign of beer head and static carbonation.
S: prune-ish, sour oxidised pears, some sugary notes... the cask is not well cared after!
T: sour-sweet fruits take the lead, then buiscuity malts follow, leaving a decent herbal bitterness and some floral hints (slightly powdery on the palate) in the end.
M&D: quite flat, medium-bodied, this beer might have tasted better if the cask had been treated with more care by this pub! Will try it again when I bump into it somewhere...
