Still a red color with no head and tiny bits in suspension. Aroma is not overpowering but a nice hint of chocolate. Taste is like licorice and a hint of the chocolate. Slightly boozy but nice tasting. Goes down easy and when you're done with that bottle you'll wish you'd gotten another. Overall a pleasure to drink. Wish I'd gotten that second bottle. Undated bottle poured into my favorite Pearl Beer goblet. 12.7 ounces. 10.1% ABV.

Not the best, but not the worst. Enjoyed the regular DNR much more. Hard to improve upon something great, ended up taking a step back with this one.

Pours amber with a sliver of fast-falling tan head. No head retention or lacing
S: Cocoa & Bourbon, figs once warm,
T: Follows the nose, oaky dryness & leafy hops up front. Dryness dominates as this warms, some vanilla, some cocoa as well, a touch of boozeyness as well, a little figgyness. Finishes dry, a little boozey, a little figgy
MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, seems under carbonated, maybe wasn't corked well? Reallly weak pop when opened
This was a letdown, this was not an iprovement on the basebeer

Starting out with a great beer and putting a spin on it made for an interesting flavor. In small doses the chocolate flavors didn't over power it at all and being burboun aged it added to the complexity of the sweetness I get fRom the original batch of DNR. Good job Coop!

Good Beer! interesting mix with the bourbon barrel aged and Chocolate! Their base DNR is a great beer so that being the backbone of this one got me excited! Really Nice beer. Sweet not to boozy and definitely notes of Bourbon and faint Chocolate! Not bad at all
