Hmm. this is a pretty good dark Belgian ale. I like the stronger stuff and this one is probably in the top 30% of the ones I have slurped on. I would encourage you to give this a try if you are interested in this style.

Cork opens with an incredibly weak pop. Pours a turbid brown with minimal cream colored head. Zero lacing & head retention
S: Plummyness, a touch of vinegar, boozey notes once warm
T: Figs, raisins, a little vanilla & a touch of dark rum up front. Barrel dryness/oakyness as this warms, a a little cola, a little booze warmth, just a little fig & other jammy flavors as well, plus some leafy hops. Finishes dry, figgy with a little sweetness/bite
MF: Fairly firm carbonation medium body, warming, carbonation smooths out once warm
Had high hopes for this one, not worth the money paid & not up to snuff for this brewery or this series
