Hazy dark amber color. No head (also in a Teku glass). Heavy sweet malt and caramel smell, with some tequila sting. Low carbonation, tangy, no noticeable bitterness. Slightly sour introduction with some tequila “saltiness”.

This 2020 iteration of Coop Ale Works' Cask-It Barrerl-Aged DNR series pours an opaque dark red amber with a brown hue, as a Strong Ale - Belgian Dark. (My original edit for beer style was Strong Ale - Belgian Pale.) It did not form a head in the Rastal Teku glass and has minimal lacing.
It has a medium mouthfeel, and its taste is floral, malty and slightly sweet and even less slightly spicy,
It finishes smooth and gulpable, which belies its 10% ABV. In the final analysis, it is its own meld.
