Appearance:
Can stamped on bottom: 05/02/23 "PARTY TIME"
Bright vitamin-pee yellow, almost completely clear and no head retention (this time...will try again, could be a greasy glass...happens sometimes)
Aroma:
Smells like a typical corn and/or rice adjunct lager. No discernable hops and the malt is weak. Smells nice and inviting, just not strong and distinctive.
Flavor:
Clean, crisp and dry. Very mild crackers and bread, Low bitterness. Has a papery, dull aftertaste
Mouthfeel:
Light. Nominal CO2.
Overall:
Light on flavor and distinctiveness, admittedly by design per Coop's description. Not really much different than most other light adjunct lagers. To it's credit it has less of that typical cheap beer garbage-y taste, likely due to Coop using straightforward craft beer methods, specifically I doubt they are doing a high-gravity ferment then watering down to style like the big boys do when they make mass-produced light beers.
This beer hit the shelves just in time to snag Bud Light boycotters. And this has more flavor and a bit more alcohol to boot.
