Copenhagen 25/2 2023. 37,5 cl bottle from Craft Makers Collective web-shop. Russian worker in overalls hailing with a beer glass in front of an oil tower spurting crude oil.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized beige head. Stable. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong sugary sweet odor mingling with a sharp scent of earthy alcohol. Brown sugar and toffee. Hard roast. Tar, tobacco and peat.
Light carbonation. Rather thick, oily, viscous, creamy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and a bit searing. Lingering. Finish is booze and brown sugar.
The sharp Stauning whisky is a fine addition to the Kremlin Crude.
