Copenhagen 9/9 2018. 33 cl bottle from Ølhandleren in Give (web-shop). Dark red version of the Troubadour brand with a very noisy blue band advertising how special a special edition this is.
Pours slightly hazy red hued amber with big orange-ish head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam covering the surface of the beer and crawling up the side of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is almost like a sour geuze. A little sweet sugar soon overpowered by fairly strong sourness. Lemon, sour apples and tart berries. A bit harsh and acidic. A rather modest amount of funk for a beer named Triple Spiked Brett.
Strong carbonation. Lively, prickly and fairly thin texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by strong sourness. Aftertaste is sour and slightly weird due to the Brett. Solid alcoholic burn.
Does not seem to have much to do with a IPA. And they do not seem to use that term themselves on the label. But a fine sour and slightly funky specimen.

Pours hazy gold, frothy head is short lived.
Little Brett on nose, lots of lemons, and Belgian yeast.
And agin on taste... But it's sweet, really sweet, and it catches up on you.
Here's the clincher.
My bottle says 2014 Triple Spiked Brett. Not 2015 ??????
Am I drinking a three year old IPA... ???? Because it's also a named as a 'India Pale Ale Tripel.' Whatever that is.
Too sweet and not enough Brett for a high overall score.

From Belgium in a Box. In Teku glass. Playing Magic Duels. Even with brett its pretty enjoyable, although the brett hides nearly all reminiscences of the basic magma

At what point is complexity pushed to the brink of complication? Where the enormity and variety of flavors become equally intense and all flavors seem to pull the tastebuds in every direction possible? I'm not sure either, but the brewers of Musketiers are flirting with that boundary pretty hard.
Mysteriously hazy with golden, amber, peach and rust- the handsomely capped beer kicks off with an arsenal of citrus, orchard, tropical fruit, wine and a flowery bouquet, spicy and sweet scents. Its honey-sweet taste is woven together with light sugar cookie, toasted nuttiness and a hint of pulled candy.
The beer gives new impressions of flavor at every point of the palate with which it reaches- candy sweet flavors dissolve soon and embrace the beer's premiere fruitiness. Red apple, pear, nectarine, orange, lemon, apricot, papaya, grape and guava all come to mind at some point through the session. Its balance comes way of spicy white pepper, vinous tartness, bitter citrus hops, and spicy alcohol. Finishing with a rose wine tartness, the beer's heightened carbonation keeps the middle palate spicy and dry.
Full bodied but sliced and diced by militant carbonation, acidity, and stinging alcohol, the beer trends lighter and drier than its massive complexity suggests. Finishing with a wine and spice medley, the aftertaste is medium-length with those grape and pepper tones resonating slightly more loud than all other flavor impressions.

Hazy dark orange color with beige head. Aroma has a lot of brett character, overripe orange and floral perfume. Taste starts sweet and slightly tart with floral yeast esters. In the middle taste you get intense yeast and the earthy hops start to kick in. Finish is more bitter and dry. Medium body and carbonation, ABV is hidden really well. Really complex and tasty beer with dangerous drinkability for the high ABV. If it wasn't for the intense yeast, it would be even more easy drinking.

4-6-16 - On tap at Monk's in Philly. Served in their standard tall tulip glass. Slight head that clings just a bit to the glass. Amber orange color. Great aromas and bitter taste, but I'm not so sure of the bitterness. Pretty tart as well, but not fruity. This is an interestingly great ale.

BBD of 30/09/20. I assume it is about 5 months old then, as it was a recent purchase.
Appearance - Hazy golden, with some moderate sediment from the brett. Thick, white, four-finger pillowy foam head. I want to rest my head upon it - which I may after drinking it, given the 9.8% ABV. Lasted for quite a few minutes.
Aroma - Brett (I know, right, surprise! - 3 species, says the label.) Fresh squeezed lemon. Some hay, grassy, and slightly floral notes (I am guessing from the dry-hopping.) Reminds me of summer.
Taste - Malty sweetness, followed by spicy bitterness that lingers, especially as it warms. Lemony. The finish is dry, but not too much so (like a fresh, un-aged Orval.) The 9.8% is there, but definitely not in a bad way.
Mouthfeel - A good amount of carbonation, and a bit chewy as well. The label describes it as an amber ale, but given the dry-hopping, it drinks more like a Belgian IPA w/ brett. Dry, but also a little prickly aftertaste.
Overall - It's got some funk to it, both in aroma and flavor. It also reminds a bit of a spiked punch, albeit bitter rather than sweet (if that makes sense.) I could imagine this as nice summertime, porch nightcap beer. Cheers!

A - Pours a dark mandarin colour with an off white head that reduces to a film
S - Pungent mandarin aromas, backed up with hops and malt. Excellent
T - Awesome citrus fruits and blood orange like flavours. The finish is sour and brett is very present.
M - Light to medium body and perfect carbonation.
O - This is the best beer that I have had for some time

Huge difference in rating, so i will write down a "few" words.
Brett-driven aroma, tons of herbs and peppercorn, cheese mold, leather, sweaty horseblanket, with a "green" leafy edge.
The taste starts with awesomely JUICY lemon peels, but also soft blond fruit (apricot, mostly) and hints of tropical sour-ish papaya and maracuja. Drizzle some soft caramel and especially spicy acacia honey. And then the Brett kicks in: mild leather, tons of crunchy herbs, like lemongrass, apio and wild thyme, Camembert, hint of chalk and green hay. Dry finish with a nice leafy hop component, green, more than mildly bitter, but not the star here.
Aftertaste has mild funk, mostly just multi-coloured peppercorn, bitter leafy hops and pithy grapefruit peel.
Really crisp, stupidly quaffable. Complex. Juicy. Insert more attributes.
My favourite Magma so far. No regrets!

The beer has a beatiful, orange color. The liquid is hazy. A huge, three finger high, white head.
Nose: A lot of orange, mandarine, floral hops, grass, spice and citrus.
Taste: Fresh! Orange, vinegar, caramel malt, citrus, marmelade and of course brett!
Mouthfeel: Crisp, sour-sweet with a high carbonation. Great texture.
