Copenhagen 27/1 2021. 33 cl bottle from Belgisk Bryg, Emdrup Mosevej, Kbh. NV. Label in the troubadour Magma's usual warm colors with a horizontal tropical green stripe.
Pours unclear - almost hazy - golden yellow with a big, white head. Fairly stable. Settles as lumpy, uneven frothy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with some sweet exotic fruit and light citric notes. Hints of humid cellar. Sweet pale malts with hints of caramel. Papaya and peach. Citrus and lime.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, watery, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is fairly dry.
Nice Belgian take on a Indian Pale Ale with an appropriately easy touch.
