Copenhagen 18/11 2017. 33 cl bottle from Ørsted Vine, H.C Ørstedsvej, Frb. C. Golden brown label very much in style with the Magma theme.
Pours hazy orange with very big bubbly, yellowish head. Settles as 2 cm thick creamy layer of fluffy foam.
Aroma is rather weak. Fermented oranges, sugar and light odors of humid basement. Some sourish notes as the beer warms up.
Low carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor is stronger. Fruity sweetness balanced by medium to strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and finish semi-dry.
More Belgian Tripel than a IPA. But the bitter edge suits it.

Bottle 0.75L.
Slightly hazy, orange body with a huge, creamy, off-white head, fully lasting with a nice lacing.
Moderate malty (caramel) and hoppy (flowers) aroma with a light yeasty character; intense notes of candy sugar and spices, light fruits.
Moderate-to-heavy sweet flavour nicely balanced with moderate bitterness and a light acidic character.
Medium body with oily-to-creamy texture; soft carbonation; light alcoholic warming in the finish.

Orange/amber color. The aroma of citrus, tropical fruits, hint of spices. The taste has a light caramel sweetness in the beginning and then a strong hoppy bitterness with spice notes. Full body, medium carbonation. Long bitter aftertaste.

Love this beer! It could actually pass for an American double IPA because of the more neutral yeast character. Nice hop aroma and bitterness. Refreshing and fulfilling at the same time. Very nice beer.

L: dark amber, hazy, thick head
S: not much. A touch biscuity maybe.
T: lots of malt and not much else. Sweet and slightly sickly.
F: full.
O: I'm not tasting what other people are in this beer. No orange, no marmalade, no complexity. Just a lot of malt and a lot of alcohol. Sorry, but I hated it. Also, despite having IPA in the name, it was nothing like an IPA.

Poured from 330 ml bottle, ABV 9%. Beautiful pour, amber and hazy. Large soapy, white head. Instant heavy and sweet, pungent aroma of hops and herbals. Full bodied feel and notes of grapefruit and caramel to go with hops that are very IPA ish! I had been looking forward to this one and I'm not disappointed. Delicious and complex.

Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)...
L- Mid amber, v slight haze (minor sediment left in bottle), poured with 2Cm almost white pillowy head. p.s Holds well and forms lacing all the way down...
S- I'm not sure what style this is but I'm wondering if I'm sensing fruit/citrus notes... hmmm
T- It is quite bright on the front, yep I get hints of grapefruit I think. Solid malts with it too and a hoppy (or is it also 'ABV-ey') lick into the finish.
F- Meaty, very solid feeling so a slow-sippin' beer for me. Good CO2 in the mouth. The level of hops make this a pungent yet zingy bright beer. Great balance.
O- This is the 2nd new beer I've had from this brewer this evening and I've found them both absolutely superb. Here the star aspect for me is how the pungent taste and feel are blended together so well. I really do not like overt citrus notes, here I noticed grapefruit early on but it swiftly got lost in the blend on my palate. To me this is very high quality brewing. I'd be very happy to drink this again.
Review/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the bottle lables to see what I missed! > 9% yep, makes sense. dry-hopped, bottle-refermented, yep all those aspects reconcile with my experience...
330ml bottle BB: 14/07/2023 Bought from BeautifulBeers/BurySt.Edmunds as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe (£3.79):
Light amber & quite bright with a massive, foamy white head about 2 inches tall that looks quite thick & has excellent retention, particularly for an 9% beer. Pepper, light spice & faint floral touches initially, there's a little citrus & grapefruit too with caramel malts & a subtle sweetness further on; balanced but light on the nose. The taste is more floral with a strong sweetness backing it up, grapefruit, orange zest & some light tropical flavours, pineapple & apricot mainly then a bit of spice at the end. It's quite boozy & warming with full body with some sugars & a pretty nice balance too.
