12oz can. Poured out a clear, straw-yellow color with a small, fizzy head of foam. It left minimal lacing. It smelled of caramel, grains and bread crust. Sweet caramel taste with a malty kick and mild bitterness.

Cerveceria Hondurena, S.A. "Cerveza Barena"
12 fl. oz. can coded "26 065 21:09 06 NOU".

Notes via stream of consciousness: Contract brewed by Regal Brau at the Minhas Brewery in Monroe, Wisconsin. It's poured a lightly hazy golden-orange body beneath a thin lid of white foam that disappeared immediately. I cannot imagine that there will be any lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma is slightly metallic, and there's an edge of caramel to the malt. There are no hops present. It really doesn't smell like much of anything. On to the taste - it's grainy, caramelish, fruity with apple, and just subtly metallic. There are no real hop flavors and not a lot of bitterness leaving the malt to stick around in your mouth. It's not cloying but it's certainly not a pleasant, dry finish. Why would you want a malty beer under the hot Honduran sun? It's labeled at 4.6% ABV, however, and that makes sense. In the mouth it's medium bodied and smooth with a moderate carbonation that at least partially explains the lack of head retention. I just can't get behind this one. It's not clear, there's no head and no lacing, the aroma isn't enticing, the taste is out of balance without any hops, and it finishes a bit sticky. The label reads "ESCAPĂTE CON SU SABOR" which means "escape with its flavor" but I'd rather just escape it all together.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a rich golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, some notes of corn. Taste is malts, light corn, a slight metallic note. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall this is your standard adjunct lager.

Was not expecting much from this. Figured it would be a typical tasting "tropical" beer like a Sol or Landshark, except worse. The first taste was amazing. It had a tropical sweetness and good amount of carbonation. It was great for like 3 swigs then it just got too sweet and funky. Give it a try but dont expect much

Pours a clear gold color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of pale malt, strong corn, and a hint of hop. Fits the style of an American Adjunct Lager. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. There is a dryness and metallic notes. Tastes of pale malt, strong corn, and a hint of hop. Overall, weak appearance and average otherwise.
