On tap at Mt. Emily, 10.14.11 poured into shaker pint glass, $4.50.
Nary any head re full pour, thin layer of light tan head on top of quite hazy medium amber brown body with some reddish highlights hard to pick out any carbonation due to opaque appearance. Spicy nose, big dose of caramel malts for balance.
Taste features a bit of spiciness up front from the Nuggets grown by the brewer, and some citrus notes from Amarillo and Cascade dry hopping, caramel sweetness in the middle. Mouthfeel medium, not much effervescence may be a bit under-carbonated. not sticky. I thought this was one of Mt. Emily's stronger offerings, worth a try.
EDIT: Had a pint 1.6.11, evidently from the Octoberish batch, the hops have faded, spiciness is long gone. Not sure I know anybody else is PNW that is still serving fresh hop beers. Smell, Taste and Overall scores down from 4.0 to 3.5.
