Our stout is operated by a Belgian style stout beer making with 12.5% of the extract. In the manufacturing process, which is 21 days using a combination of five different types of malt - the best domestic pilsner and four imported Belgian kind. Beer is a constant, characteristic of strong flavors and distinctive aromas with alcohol content of 5.5%.
My impression: one the best beer that you can have in Belgrade. Had it a couple of days ago: I think they changed it since last year (improved it), very tasty, with a slight coffee aftertaste.

Actually tried this beer twice today: first at the original location on Ilije Garasanina, and again at the second location on Kosančićev Venac. It was served in a .3L mug and .3L pub glass, respectively. No flavoring added either time.

Appearance: Body is very, very, close to being opaque, but does show hints of crimson near the edges when held to light; otherwise black. A one-finger, creamy, tan head sits on top. Decent retention. Sticky rings of lace drape the walls of the glass.
Smell: Roasted malt, dark chocolate, and faint coffee. It's been a while since I've smelled something like this, and damn do I miss it! All in all, smell like an above average American porter (or a pretty smooth Irish dry stout).
Taste: Roasted malt, light citrus, and mineral water (at least at the original location). I've had a lot of sparkling mineral water on this trip, and the taste (again, at the original location) was chock full of it. Leafy, prickly hops came through in the finish. Average at the first location; pretty good at the second.
Mouthfeel: Once again, not as good at the first location as the second. The first sample was pretty watery with a mild carbonation that (again) reminded me of mineral water. it had some light creaminess, but was just thin and bland overall. Much more exciting in the second sample: fuller, pricklier, and creamier. Finished clean each time.
Drinkability: This was a fantastic change-up to the lousy lagers and wheat beers I've been drinking for the last three weeks. While it seems like these Black Turtle beers might be a little hit and miss, I would definitely choose this one over any of the mass-produced shit out here.
