Notes: Clear deep mahogany body beneath a pillowy head of khaki. Excellent head retention but only average lacing. Surprisingly limited in aroma, yet full in flavor: yeasty fruitiness like berry & plum, soft dark caramel, cocoa, and toast, or perhaps dark bread. No hops stand out. Light-medium in body and remarkably smooth. A moderate bitterness balances it nicely, and it finishes short and dry. Incredibly easy to drink, and yet very rewarding. One of the best dark milds I've had so far!
