Served via nitrogen dispense, this clear, deep-chestnut colored beer holds a creamy head of light tan foam fairly well. Its subtle notes of roastiness and chocolate waft up to the nose through a light bouquet of floral hops and yeasty fruitiness. The body is medium-light and its very fine and moderate carbonation leaves it lightly creamy and smooth across the palate. The flavor delivers a subtle nutty chocolate with a roasty cusp, and a touch of yeasty fruit and some floral & grassy hops. It's well balanced by a firm bitterness and it finishes dry, due in part to its roasty character. An interesting and enjoyable beer that pairs well with their "Crock of Beans"!
