Its clear golden body is capped by a thin lid of white foam that drops readily to a thin collar and leaves little lace. Some floral and spicy hops (Saaz?) are noticeable in the nose along with a grainy malt. It's clean and fresh, but the malt seems a bit full. Still, yeasty fruitiness is quite restrained for an ale, and it does have a bit of a lager-like quality. The body is medium-light and its lightly crisp on the tongue. The flavor delivers the same maltiness but with a subtler hop accent. It's subtly sweet but balanced by a firm bitterness; yet it still finishes drying with some sticky, grainy malt that lingers in the aftertaste. However, it's not a bad 'brewpub gold'.
