Had this on 2019-12-21 at the brewery on-tap

Lawnmower beer. Not a ton of aroma or flavor.

On tap at Fatheads N. Oldmsted

This is a very crisp, balanced and clean kolsch. An excellent to style interpretation. Very well done and refreshing. This will no doubt get overshadowed by FH's impressive line up of hoppy beers, but this kolsch is on point. Enjoyed it more than their Jack Straw (from Wichita!) kolsch.

Pours a clear, light straw color. The soapy white head leaves plenty of lace. Aroma of grains, very strong in freshly kilned malt. Bready and crackery with an almost menthol like hop smell.

In the taste, biscuity malt flavors and a grassy, herbal hopping. There is a fair amount of earthiness to go with the bread and cracker.

Light to medium bodied, smooth and fairly full per style guidelines. Easy drinking, really nothing to it. Overall, this is a nice clean kolsch with a fair amount of hops. Would compliment a sandwich.
