Brewer's description:
"A delicate malt body encompassed by an assertive bitterness and floral, spicy Czech Saaz hop flavors & aromas.Fermentation at low temperatures with a German ale
yeast creates a clean crisp lager like profile. Served Keller style, unfiltered and right from the conditioning tank. Pure unadulterated German goodness."
I love Fathead's look at this clouded golden hybrid pils, really tasty 40 IBUs, fluffy textured white head looks great carries nice lacing with each sip around the sides of the 16 ounce nonic pint glasses.
Aroma super earthy, herbal, grassy Saaz kickin'. Light biscuit malt base, some bready notes very light but super aggressive pils flavor.
Flavor the keller style bier really does it for me all the clouded character none of the good stuff got filtered out. Matt Cole does German styles really well, here's him getting creative making a hybrid pils with a German ale yeast!!! Bitterness is pungent, citrus, earthy, cut grass really dry finish nice stuff. If you had this blind you would never assume you were drinking an ale, lager notes all the way.
Mouthfeel ample lively carbonation goes down great, dry finish light to medium bodied. Super refreshing this is one you can just keep on drinking and drinking.
Overall, excellent stuff, I'm glad I gave this one a go...just based on that description I really wanted to try this one Fat Head's brewing alive and well.
