Enjoyed November 5, 2015 on draft in a snifter.
Look - Orange gold. See through. Nice finger of ivory head. Medium bubbles. Great lacing.
Smell - Mango. Grapefruit. Orange. Dank musty hop.
Taste - Nose. Dank mustiness is there but not for long. Finished with bubblegum.
Feel - Drier finish than expected. Medium feel slightly creamier than water. Sits well. Burns tongue with hop.
Overall - I had regular trail head and it was average. Wet hopped trail head is great. This is a very good rating for a regular IPA.

Great! Super hoppy APA (like the original) with a little something different. Grapefruit and other citrus flavors with a substantial amount of malt, and this fits right in between an APA and IPA. Great mouthfeel and super drinkable. It's hard to determine whether this is as good as the original, but either way, Trail Head is an underrated pale ale and is just as worthy as their Head Hunter, especially for someone who wants some malt in their beer.

Decent IPA! Not the best! Prefer others!

Half-growler filled at Fat Head's Tap House in Middleburg Hts., Ohio
Growler poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy light copper with a bubbly white head that fades leaving nice retention and decent lacing. The aromas are subtle with solid citrus notes. Some sticky grapefruit in the mix. Some malts. The aromas aren't overwhelming, but smells nice. The flavors are very clean and crisp. Lots of grapefruit with hints of orange. Some lemon and lime zest in the mix. Somewhat earthy. Hints of pine as well. Solid malt backbone, but the hops still do their thing. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium-bodied with active carbonation. Somewhat thin. Very smooth and easy drinking.
Nice brew from Fat Head's. I guess maybe I had high expectations considering I'm a fan of regular Trail Head. This is still a very nice beer, but not the craziest hoppy brew I've had from them.
