I have no idea why this is called a pilsner ? Is there a new style out now called black Pils ? Whatever, I like it a lot. Delicious and roasty. After pondering a bit more . . . why not call it a black lager ? Maybe it is a pilsner, but I'm having trouble making the connection . . . Obviously.

Had this on 2014-11-28 at their pub in Pittsburgh. Not a fan. Smelled like Ajax cleanser.

Pours a dark brown with just a slight off white head. The aroma is hoppy and actually bitter. The flavor is solidly bitter with floral and pine elements. Roasted malt is kept in check here and this drinks like a solid black IPA, hops well before malt and the body is light . Overall, this a nice little beer here.
