Just had this back to back with BA 12 dogs and this fell very short of expectations.

Pours copper with no head and little retention and lacing. The aromas are full of caramel and toffee. Some spices. The bourbon notes are subtle. The flavors are clean. Lots of malts. Cinnamon and ginger is there. Hints of nutmeg. More caramel. The bourbon is there, but it's subtle. Hints of wood/oak along with some vanilla. Everything is balanced. Alcohol goes unnoticed and there is no boozy notes. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and thin with lower carbonation. Smooth and easy to drink.
This is a solid offering from Fat Head's. I personally wish the bourbon shined a bit more, but there's nothing wrong with balance. Nice brew for the holidays.
