Fruity and rounded. This has a softened edge to the big bitterness that characterizes west coast ipas. I get some hints of mango and guava, tropical fruit notes, as well as more traditional hop characteristics.

32 oz crowler. Clean light go,den color, two finger head has great retention. Melony aroma with some grassy hop notes. Big fresh melony flavors which are matched by plenty piney weedy dank hops, lasting bitterness. Clean medium slippery feel. This is a tasty brew. Like how the melon flavors in this one are more fresh rather than ripe tasting like so many similar IPAs.

On tap at the brewery, Portland.
Rimming bone white over bright gold. 4
Booming fresh mango nose with blueberry and pineapple. 4.5
Thread of toffee, then white grapefruit rind, papaya, white peach and a tiny touch of resin. 4.25
Lt-med, round, oily. 4
Mosaic
Much less tropical than the nose. But still layered and pretty OTT juicy - 70 IBUs doesn’t play in at all. Good clinic on the versatility of Mosaic. Quality. 4.25

Mosaic hopped so we have a tropical fruit bomb. Crystal clear pale color served on tap with aromas of the chain. Hops smack you in the face and then you get the name.

New Zealand hops. This is a creation of the PDX brewery I believe and a great testament to how they are blazing their own trail. A great bear, light in feel but bursting with white wine / tropical / bitterness.
