Pours a clear reddish color with a bit of head and lacing sticking around.
The nose has typical fat heads sugary sweet malts and yeast, with dank tropical and pine hop notes.
Flavor has sweet malts, mango and pineapple , and big time earthy bitterness. Resin, pine, mango and herb round out the flavor. Citrusy to go with piney, waves of hop flavor in this beer.
Slight hint of alcohol.
Full bodied beer that has a hop bite. The oily resins really coat the palate.
Overall it's an intense red ale with hops displayed in typical Fat Heads fashion.

Poured from a growler into a Teku glass
A: Dark brown with a thin head
S: Hoppy, some citrus & tropical fruit, hints of pine and malt
T: Matches the nose, a nice blend of malt & hops, typical Fat Heads style
M: Hoppy, matches most dipas, not much booze
O: Collaboration sure but this is a Fat Heads beer first and foremost, and damn tasty as is almost everything they make

This is a collaboration between Fat Head's / Stoudts / HofbrÀuhaus for Cleveland Beer Week 2016.
Half-growler filled at Heinen's in Mayfield Village, Ohio
This is a strong ale brewed rye along with mosaic, warrior and simcoe hops. Growler poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy auburn; small fluffy light khaki head that fades leaving solid retention and lacing. The aromas are very tropical and floral. Lots of pineapple and mango. Caramel malts are there, but the hop aromas shine. The flavors follow the nose. More pineapple and mango along with some grapefruit. Hints of lemon in the mix. Caramel is there. Solid malt backbone. The malts cut down on the bitterness, but there's still a ton of hop flavor. The mosaic hop flavors really shine. It's bittersweet. The rye is there, but seems mild. It's noticeable with a subtle spiciness in the finish. There's also a subtle warmth in the finish, but it's not hot or boozy at all. Alcohol is well hidden. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, but feels light and thin with moderate carbonation. It's fluffy, smooth and dangerously drinkable.
This is a great collaboration. If you're a fan of Fat Head's hoppy beers, then you should really enjoy this one. It's reminiscent of a "hoppy imperial red ale". It might be slightly one dimensional, but it's a very enjoyable demension. Well crafted.
