Wow, this is a very ugly, fully opaque muddy brown caramel color with a thick, dense off white cream--totally unexpected from Fat Head's. But hey, they get a pass because it's an experiment, eh?
Hmm, this smells like an intentional Oud Bruin with toasty malt, biscuit and cherry.
Taste is far more tart than expected, and almost oaky, continuing on with cherry and raspberry, toasted sesame, a char of unknown origin (since this is kettle soured), and vanilla. Yum!
Frothy with a medium body. Quenchingly tart and semi-dry.
