As good as a Helles lager as you will find from a US brewery - it isn’t a style that screams heavy flavor but this one is just totally on-point. Malt is crisp & clean with very slight peppercorn & rye notes, light German hops for that kiss of floral bitterness, immensely drinkable

Pours a crystal clear, golden color with a finger of white head that does reduce, but lacing continues down the glass as you enjoy the beer. Beautiful appearance, it doesn't get much better.
Aroma of grain, biscuit, faint honey / malt sweetness. Little to no hop presence. Malt flavor lingers on the palate, you can tell this was brewed very well with masterful technique.
Taste is unreal. Super crisp, delicate malts. That honey/cereal grain note comes through, with a very smooth finish. Again, minimal noble hop profile. Bittering does not linger, balanced by the sweetness of the beer.
Mouthfeel is perfect for the style, well carbonated. Body not heavy nor thin. Just right.
Overall, this is the best Helles I have ever had, which is why it has a prefect 5-star rating across the board from me. Helles is a style I am very familiar with and drink a lot of, so I consider myself "experienced" in the style - short of actually going to Germany (next year!) to have them at the source.
Please Fat Head's, brew this more often and keep it in rotation! While known for their IPA's, their German-focused lagers and ales are as good, or better. This is one if you appreciate this style, is a complete home run. If bottled/canned, this would be stocked up in my fridge at all times.
