Smooth malt backbone balances this barley wine brewed with Cascade & Centennial hops. Medium body with notes of dried fruit, citrus peel, and orange marmalade.

A foggy chill haze clears up to exhibit a copper-amber body with a short khaki head settling to a fine film with a thick collar.
Punchy and assertive, a big bang of resin and scorched orange rind socked me upside the head right away. The supporting malt provides less prominent undertones of toffee that nears butterscotch with somewhat toasty biscuit.
The medium body is frothy and finishes chewy yet semi-dry, bringing some heat all the way down.
It's so aggressive that I'm hearing haunting whispers of "You're Not Worthy"...or is it Werther's? At the same time, it's not as offensive or off-putting as Arrogant Bastard.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice crystal clear amber hue with a fat off white head that fades to leave light lacing and thin wisps.
S - Aromas of bright cascade and centennial hops, nice and fruity. Very nice and light caramel. Faint bready malts and grain as well.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of spicy pine hops. Decent caramel and malt sweetness. Good light doughy notes, the finish is really bitter but there is no alcohol burn.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, the alcohol isn't noticeable with nice bitterness.
O - Overall this was a very solid America barleywine. This tastes so so much like a mid 90s barleywine which you don't see more.

Crowler than l thanks to rudzud
Huge fluffy head good retention, good lacing, mostly clear auburn reddish amber color
Nose is pretty nice, sweet candy malts, some caramel, reddish candy syrup, little toffee, good basic hop aromas, little earthy spicy citrus, deep reddish toasty malt
Taste big sweet malts again, toffee caramel, reddish candy, etc, bit nutty, candy sweet malts, touch of alcohol, big hops, medium high bitterness, turning spicy and a bit piney, light citrus, finishing a bit sweet but big spicy hop bitter finish
Mouth is med to fuller bod, but not syrupy or sticky, good medium higher carb, pretty much no alcohol
Overall very classic American barleywine like Bigfoot or anchor steam barleywine like original American barleywine, good base candy malts without too sweet syrupy, good hops but gets a bit too bitter spicy, but still good, and basically no alcohol
