The magic is in our masterful combination of hops that create this ridiculously good India Pale Ale. The strange thing is how we get as much of it as we do into cans before we drink all of it ourselves.
Hops: Warrior, Mosaic, Simcoe, Citra (Pellet, Leaf & Cyro)
Malts: Cara Pils, Pale, C-15, C-30
Yeast: California Ale
65 IBU

11/18/22 16 oz. on two at Cheesecake Factory in Pittsburgh. Date day after hip doctor.
The aroma is a trip to paradise! Pineapple, citrus rind, and sour lemon all rolled into one.
Bright bite has to settle down on the tongue before you can taste it. But grapefruit rind and a slight toasty dankness flavor linger on the tongue.

12oz can. Canning date is stamped on bottom lip but the date is difficult to read (on all six cans), looks to be sometime in September, 2022.
Clear, pale gold colored body. Two fingers of white head, which remains as craggy peaks. Partial walls of lacing left behind.
Aroma is mainly about the hops, which express pine, floral, and tangerine. Good malt base.
Taste is deep with the varying hop flavors - sweet orange, floral perfume, sticky pine, herbal dank, and tropical fruit. All sit on top of a solid toasted malt sweet base. Very slight bitterness towards the end, which is a reminder of the herbal nature of hops. Some pith and rind in the aftertaste.
Medium, slightly sticky mouth feel, which perfectly glides down the throat. Very good carbonation.
Relatively lower ABV% brew is full of nosy and flavor delights, and all in great balance. This drinks so well. The beer is not a fruity, soft NEIPA and is not a bitter WCIPA, but stands on its own as a delicious Ohio made IPA.

Strange Magic pours a slight golden clear color with a good head and great lacing. Canned 05/20/22 it smells mostly of malt and hops. A little dank, a little funk. The taste has some citrus, some floral. Has some bold bitterness that compliments the beer. The mouthfeel is Medium with some lingering flat bitterness. Overall a good IPA.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned Dec 14 2021.
Beautiful appearance. Clean and gem crystal like clarity of perfect amber and flirting with bronze orange highlights. Fairly good sized bubbles in the head, but reaching an easy three fingers and more, with popping white and creamy top looks.
Strange aroma indeed. Inviting touches of floral and earth, with perfume like sweetness. A tad touch of fade but still delivers nicely. A gum drop like sweetness that hits of cherry fruit almost without being too sugary. Maybe even some grape juice like quality as well. Pretty wild.
Tangy and real vibrant palate. Snapping like pop of carbonation and light bodied feel with just a good enough punching malt to make a neat hop platform. Slightly juiced up fruit and pungent hop action. Big pine soft bitterness that just barely touches a caramel malt sweetness on the finish for excellent balance. Good astringency on the finish also that gives to woody bitterness you can sink your teeth into.
Real neat IPA, would definitely like to try this again.

This one tastes really good, Head Hunter felt better but I like the flavors or this one more which isn't surprising as I see Citra and Mosiac are in here. Really solid west coast ipa

Slight, less than a finger's worth of late-developing off-white froth... Modest retention... Color is a slightly hazed pale straw... Pleasant hop-forward nose of light tropical fruit and pine... The hops are not as pronounced on the palate and take on a much earthier character... Strong malt base... Mouth feel is medium with brisk carbonation... Solid, but unremarkable IPA... Enjoyable enough, but not something I'm likely to frequent... Would certainly opt for Head Hunter any day of the week if given the choice...
