I wasn’t sure if Fatheads (Matt) would be able to brew a non aggressive IPA but this is really well done. Tropical and easy drinking. Pretty well balanced with a subtle sweetness and no hop burn. Opens up as it warms a bit and showcases stone fruits quite well. I will definitely have this again. Recommended and very approachable.

Fat Head’s It’s always Something Hazy IPA on tap 7 20 19 N. Olmsted. Live review. 16 oz. $5.75
Look Pint glass. 1 cm brief head over a great looking hazy golden light brown body.
Smells of moderate hops. Description says “booming nose of tropical and candied fruit” but I found the hops to be simply moderate although I do get of sense of the tropical notes.
Taste. Hops not muted as much as I would have thought from the description, “soft and round with a reastrained bitterness” Repeated tastes reveal a more complex sense of layers of tastes. Quite interesting.
Feel. Really good and right on target for the style. Fat Head's also offers this as a cask conditioned ale. I will try that soon.
Overall/drinkability. Really a good beer. Not a surprise from Matt Cole and company at Fat Head’s.
