16 ounce can poured into a tulip glass. Canned on 12/29/20, so not fresh.
L---Hazy, dark golden color. Giant white head had very good retention and left excellent lacing. Some yeast floaters (not that there's anything wrong with that) which they said it was unfiltered, so....
S---Lots of tropical & citrus aromas.
T---Follows the nose. Grapefruit, mango, papaya, orange. I didn't get the pine I saw in other reviews.
F---Medium body. Good carbonation.
O---A really nice one.

Pours a hazy deep amber color with two fingers of dense white head. Also seeing some white floaties in the mix.
Nose is pineapple, mango, and a bit of citrus.
More grapefruit and citrus in taste. Very tropical with a bit of honey sweetness that fades to a slightly bitter citrus peel on the finish.
Another solid beer from a great brewery.

Poured into a tall clear pint glass. Appearance is a hazy golden color with more than a finger's worth of head
Aroma: orange, grapefruit, passion fruit, citrus zest, guava, papaya, and other tropical notes, cracker malt, and honey.
Really tasting the orange and grapefruit, something piney too along with the honey. Also tasting apricots, peaches, and caramel. Sweet at first, but the dank hoppiness comes in and swoops it for a crisp finish. Body is medium-light.

Teaming up with the brewers at Breakside, a collaborative effort is underway. With the hops of Citra, Strata, Simcoe and Mosaic, this special "hop"eration comes with the veil of haze.
Hazy, honey-like and held in a fuzzy pastel appearance, Special Hoperations builds an off-white creamy cap while teasing the senses with citrus, tropical fruit, dankness, toastiness and grassiness. Moderately sweet, the early palate is woken by juicy malts of cereal, granola and honey.
Sweetness soon gives way to the hops that govern the middle palate. A burst of orange is followed by grapefruit, mango, papaya, pineapple, passionfruit, lemon and berry. That strong fruitiness tends juicy, rich and branch-ripe with a dried apricot taste coming in late. A patient fade to spicy but smooth bitterness has the beer racy, resinous and peppery in its late taste.
Medium bodied and trending malty-dry, the fuller upstart in taste finishes uniquely crisp, refreshing and off-clean. A pleasantly herbal aftertaste leaves impressions of hemp, gin and pine in a medium-long linger. This hoperation is under the radar no more.

L: Hazy straw yellow. Lots of foam.
S: Amazing. Juicy tropical lupulin.
T: Great! Stone FML, step aside.
F: Relatively dry finish for a New England style IPA
O: Juicy, resiny, piney, tropical hops. Good amount of bitterness but not overwhelming. Solid ale with solid hops.

1 PINT can
Served in a stemless wine glass
This beer pours an amber hue. It has a slight haze with suspended yeast visible. It is topped with an inch of beige head that leaves some nice lacing.
It has a really sweet smell. I get some tropical fruit and a little grapefruit.
The taste is sweet. I get some tropical fruit. I has a light grapefruit and pine finish.
Medium bodied with a slick mouthfeel
As great as Fat Head's is at making delicious hoppy beers, the hazy IPA does not seem to be their strong suit. It is ok, but not a great NEIPA by any means.

A - Pours a pale gold color, hazy, with a fat white head on the pour. Lots of lacing as you drink.
S - Nose of orange, zest and pith, and resin-tinged hops.
T - Open of fruit, orange and grapefruit, a touch of pine and resin in the middle, and a moderately bitter finish, pithy and lingering.
M - Moderate weight and carbonation, with a dry close and trailing resin crunch on the close.
O - Decent and satisfying, even if a bit simple, with a strong bitterness on the backend that dissipates quickly but leaves a ghost of its dryness for a while.

Awesome hazy IPA. 4 pack of 16 oz cans made it all the way to southeastern Pennsylvania near Delaware. Found this fresh canned in late December and drinking the first can in mid January. Very strong citrus orange scent and nice taste like a smooth New England IPA. This beer is definitely worth looking for. Great collab by Fat Head and for a great cause.
