From notes at the brewery/pub:
Golden Pub ale with nutty aromatic notes of toasted barley, oats and just enough hops to balance this very easy drinking session ale that tips it's hat at the style of an English bitter while using all German malts. Cheers!
Review from notes. Enjoyed by me on tap 12 23 09 into a clean, clear glass with my brother in law Steven and my wife at the brewpub at that time.
A Really basic look of translucent light amber, off white brief head and little to no lace. 3.0
S Very little smell. I had to sniff several times to get a touch of malt and hops. 2.0
T Taste of a good, basic bitter. There is the added interest of some pepper notes too. 3.5
M Medium feel with that pepper to beef up an otherwise basic english bitter. 3.5
D Good, as I am sure this style typically is. 4.0
