Surprisingly dark, it's acorn nearing brick red, but crystal clear, all under a pale white head.
Being a skosh darker than a maerzen, this also translates into a maltier taste nearer a red. It's kind of like chestnut, but milder, as well as almond cake, but not sweet, and perhaps accented by a touch of rye.
Its full, round and fluffy body finishes perfectly bone dry.
