Brewers notes:
This beer is brewed in the Rotweizen (Red Weizen) style. Pours a deep red with a thick head of foam. Aromas of bubblegum and spice with hints of clove and some banana. Rich mouthfeel, silky smooth with toasted malt flavors, bubblegum, complex fruitniness, yeast and clove. 6.9% ABV.
16oz pour served in an English style pint glass
A - Pours an oddish dark and dirty orange/brown with an insane amount of haze. Sitting atop is half an inch of very creamy light khaki colored foam, leaves a thick wall of lace around the glass through the drink.
S - Lots of bubblegum in the nose, along with some slightly spicy Belgian yeast, clove, sugar candy.
T - very sweet like the nose, standard bubblegum, banana, and clove up front. slightly crackery malt and a touch of caramel add more sweetness. has a weird but alluring fruitiness, almost like coconut rum.
M - very thick and creamy, yet the ample carbonation comes alive gracefully with every sip. finishes with lingering sweetness and fruits. very nice.
D - honestly never heard of the style before this, has a lot of classic Dunkelweizen qualities yet the appearance and some robust flavors say otherwize. this is very good, just a few ounces too many as the sweetness can be too much to handle.
