I had this on cask at Fat Heads in Cleveland. The menu states "Whole American flower hops are packed in our new hopback to set the mood for a hoppy finish. This American Pale Ale will have you leaving with a smile".

The beer is ligh copper colored, clear, with a thin spitty foam. The aroma is nicely hopped, it smelled like a muted IPA, guess that's a decent description of an American Pale Ale... n The hops were citrusy and floral, not really so bitter smelling.

The beer tasted nice with all the hoppy citrusness, again not so bitter, rather just hoppy flavored. Well balanced with the malty sweetness. The mouthfeel is creamy as fits a cask ale, nice body and all.

Brewer's notes:
A light aroma of caramel malt and some cascade hops. This Pale Ale has a toasted caramel malt backbone and a nice balance of citrus hops. Clean, crisp, and very drinkable with a nice bitter hop finish that will have you leaving with a smile. 5.8% ABV.

16oz pour, served in an English style pint glass

A - pours a clear bright slightly burnt orange color...a quarter inch or so of loosely frothy foam on top (one of my qualms about this place is most of the bartenders pour with as little head as possible).

S - hop forward, i'm a huge Cascade fan and this is just spot on. elements of floral, citrus, and that distinct spiciness. present yet graceful lightly sweet caramel malts add a nice balance. couldnt wait to start drinking this one.

T - another impressive display of wonderful Cascade hops. drinks much like an IPA, this is a wonderful "pale" version of Head Hunter, which I love. hops are assertive, citrus and spicy yet balanced. not for the faint of heart.

M - about standard for the style, light-ish body with good active carbonation. a bit slick and oily, finishes on the cleaner side with some lingering hops and spice.

D - serious contender for my favorite of the style. this really needs to be bottled. delicious and dangerously drinkable. highly recommended.
