as part of a Fathead's-only Firkin Friday...several 16oz pours in Englis-style pint glasses
A - *very cloudy* (moreso as the firkin went down) bright gold in color, thin but creamy head with a solid amount of lacing.
S - very spicy and piney...at first pour a few people around me were saying that this was the IPA and not the Pale and I believed them...just the slightest amount of toasty malt but this is all hops. just begged to be sipped, so...
T - wham! insane amount of pine-heavy hops that just got more and more intense the closer to the bottom of the firkin we got. light crackery malt underneath, this is all outdoorsy, grass and piney hops with an extra fresh kick from the 2x dry hopping.
M - thick and creamy with substantial body with all the suspended yeast. finishes incredibly clean for everything else going on, with just a bit of lingering bitterness.
D - loved it...if you're a fan of pine and grass hop profiles it cant get much better than this. an APA that drinks like an assertive IPA, yet has the light body and drinkability of something lighter. outstanding.
