I sampled a pint on tap at Fat Head’s Brewery. The body poured a jet black with a large tan fluffy head. Light lacing.
Aroma is light roasted malt.
Taste follows nose and there was a very small dark malt sweetness that serves to balance the malty char and the light bitterness that appears mid-swallow. As expected, things dry up quickly.
Mouthfeel is good. Body is mid-weight and carbonation solid.

On tap at Gene McCarthy's in Buffalo, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and a bit of lacing.
This smells mostly like roasted malt, with some smoke, licorice, and dark chocolate.
This will never my favorite style, but this is a pretty good take on it. It's not quite as thin as most versions of this style, with a nice chocolatey and roasted malt backbone.
This is medium bodied, reasonably creamy, and pretty drinkable.
This is a better option that Guiness if you do see it.
