This heavy hitting IPA goes against the grain to give you a raucous hop experience. It’s loaded with Chinook and Citra hops lending grungy notes of grapefruit, berry, and citrus rind with a smooth piney, spicy, bitterness that invokes classic American “C” hop character.

****Probably should not be rating this. It was brewed 3/20/24 and I am drinking a can from my beer advent on X-mas eve. This shouldn’t have been on the shelf

I got a 6pck of cans of this beer from my local meijer store. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had tropical fruit peel spice notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright semi sweet malt base with bold pineapple and apricot presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Copper colored with a half inch of frothy off white on top. Heavy, soapy lacing is on my glass. The aroma is of green veggies. I’m tasting underripe watermelon, green veggies, and biscuity malt. The mouth is lightly resinous and refreshing.

Sparklingly clear amber with a khaki foam head of moderate height.

A super tingly, almost numbing vibration delivers a pleasant spritz of cologne with a touch of pinewood and hint of biscuit.

It had been two weeks since I'd tasted a solid punch of crisp, clear and expertly made hops, but I had no doubt Fat Head's would deliver me back to the god's realm.

A fingers worth of densely packed fluffy pillowy light khaki colored froth... Solid retention... Color is a pale medium gold with just the slightest touch of haziness... Robust nose of citrus, mango and assorted other tropical fruity goodness... The palate is a bit of a diversion and takes on a more dank, pungent and earthy character... Equally good and pleasant, just a bit surprising... Feel is medium bodied... Even and consistent all the way through... Some prickly carbonation and a bit of a bite on the finish... Lots of good things going on here, especially given the 6.5% ABV...

12 FL. OZ. can
Served in a can glass

This beer pours a brilliant amber hue and is topped with a couple inches of beige head that leaves rings of lacing as I imbibe.

Citrus smell. A little dank

Citrus flavor with a dank taste, too.

Light bodied with an effervescent mouthfeel

Nice, easy drinking IPA

12oz canned 03/25/24 (25 days ago) poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass at just above fridge temp 6.5% ABV 65 IBU. The beer pours bright medium amber with cream colored head. The head recedes to a rocky cap and leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma is moderate in strength featuring citrus rind, citrus fruit and berry. The taste is bittersweet caramel malt with resinous hop flavors of grapefruit, mixed berries and earth. Moderate bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, excellent "dank" IPA from Fat Head's.

Hoppy hoppy nose ... A bit thin for how potent the aroma is ... Still., Very good and flavorful ... Would have loved if the body and ABV ... This brewer rarely misfires...this is a hit

On tap at Pirates PNC Park. Pours a beautiful clear golden color. Smells like citrus. Taste is hoppy but not overly juicy. This is an old school IPA - not hazy. Tastes great. Awesome mouthfeel. Loved it like other IPAs from this brewer. This one hides the alcohol and tastes fantastic.

On tap at Sydney's in East Berlin PA. Pours a very slightly hazy medium gold with a brief off-white head. Initial impression is pine, citrus rind, tropical fruits, and maybe a hint of peach. Mouthfeel is smooth, and slightly on the light side of sticky. Overall, another pretty decent AIPA from Fat Heads.
