Poured from tap at the brewery, the body is a dark black with a creamy head. Good lacing.
Nose is a wonderful roasted coffee with wafts of vanilla and bourbon.
Taste is coffee forward with much less vanilla (though still in the background). Bourbon is absent. Just the beans were Bourbon soaked; no barrel aging. Good deep malty flavor and finishing bitterness.
Mouthfeel is creamy with good carbonation.
