12oz can from brother. Mahogany pour. Initial head fades to small creamy off-white cap. Sweet, malty aroma, then cinnamon and a good amount of barrel notes. Taste starts with the spicy/savory cinnamon, a little brown sugar, caramel, barely there vanilla and some strength from the barrels. A bit heavy on the cinnamon (for me)

This doesn't work on any level. Not as rye barrel aged beer, not as a doppelbock, just...not at all. Woody cinnamon and nothing else here. Big disappointment from Fat Head's.

A - Hazy garnet colored pour with thin off-white colored lacing.

S - Cinnamon and light malt dominate the nose.

T - A nice balance between cinnamon and sweet malt with the spicy burn.

M - Big medium body.

O - Big cinnamon, this beer could easily be polarizing.

Had this on 2023-12-26 near Pittsburgh, PA from a 12oz can

Dark brown with a tan head and mild lace. Rich brown bread base with vanilla and bourbon barrel. Medium-full body and light carbonation. I enjoyed this barreled take on an Imperial Doppelbock and would have it again.

Pours a brownish color with copper edges and a finger of head. The nose has whiskey notes. The flavor also has notes of rye whiskey but there is also some cinnamon in the background. The finish is oddly reminiscent of coconut.

The body is thin for the style and the alcohol pokes through a bit intrusively on the finish.

Pretty disappointed in fatheads on both the bourbon and rye ba dopplebocks. This one isn't flat like the bourbon one was but its pretty gross. Fatheads kills ipas and USUALLY is extremely true to style on their German beers. This one however is straight gross.
