This isn’t just any IPA; it’s your favorite Fat Head’s IPA, supercharged with an abundance of fresh hop flavor. We’ve cranked up the volume on piney, resinous, and grapefruit notes by using fresh Chinook hops, delivering a punch-you-in-the-mouth experience that’s unapologetically hoppy.

16oz can stamped 09/14/24...
I give up on Kentuckiana, purchased warm yesterday at a store I rarely visit.
Gushed on opening, but not their fault. Numerical rating will be to the average. This actually held up ok, but oxidation is setting in.

Love what head hunter brings as far as the piney presence and this version is no different. Maybe a little on the sweet side but delicious nonetheless.

On tap at the Blue Dog Pub, Lansdale, PA into a 10oz tulip.

Pours translucent orange with maybe a half finger of white head. nice retention and lacing.

Aroma and taste of pine, resin and citrus (mainly oranges and grapefruit). Nice bitterness.

Medium-bodied, sticky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Bitter aftertaste.

Great, great beer. Would head back for another but the pour after mine kicked the keg. Unfortunately, that pour was for my buddy I was out with haha.

Fat Head’s Head Hunter is one of my all-time favorite beers, but this limited release with the addition of fresh Chinook hops is incredible! The bouquet is amazing with the scent of fresh hops and sets the stage of anticipation for the first sip. I purchased this can from a local liquor store and poured it into a chilled pint glass. It poured with a beautiful two-finger head that laced the glass as I drank the beer. I consider Fat Head’s a world-class craft brewery on par with the likes of Russian River. This is a great beer and a definite buy if you can find it!

Fantastic FH version of the classic. Wish they would put the hop on the can but this holds up against any non-PNW fresh hop ale. Very solid. Has the classic Midwest malt backbone but the resinous hops offer a nice floral and then bitter kick. Great stuff.

Chill hazed amber with a bubbly head of off-white foam.

A very unwarranted side by side to Hoppin' Frog's Wet Hop IPA, the crisply sharp bitterness here is slightly nuttier than regular Head Hunter, while the body is a little frothier, yet also slicker, and the swallow seems a bit more fiery.

The HoFro can helps highlight the Fat Head's quality (IPA's not being Frog's forte), but I definitely prefer the stellar cleanliness of regular Head Hunter.

Pours a nearly clear golden color and sports a fluffy, rocky off-white head that is a lacing glove on the inside of the glass as you enjoy the beer. Gorgeous WCIPA.

The scent of fresh Chinook hops literally vaults from the can, with waves of resiny pine and grapefruit wafting from the glass after an aggressive pour. I am drooling.

The taste is the definition of fresh, with a concentrated bitterness melding with tart grapefruit and subtle caramalt flavors to provide an unapologetically bitter WCIPA that also manages to be balanced.

The mouthfeel is full bodied and very dry, making for a very drinkable beer. This is truly world class stuff, IMHO.
