A robust porter brewed with malted barley that was smoked over Adler wood by our brewers on-site. Rich smoky aromas greet your nose while flavors of dark chocolate, smoke, some roasted malt and a bit of coffee hit the taste buds. Finishes nice and dry.

Pours an deep Amber color. Aroma is smoky. Flavor a smoke, kind of perfumed. With some roasted malts and a touch of booziness. Overall this is ok but nothing special.

32oz growler filled at Fat Head's Taphouse in Middleburg Hts., Ohio
Growler poured into a tulip. Pours black and no light seems to be getting through. Nice light khaki head that fades leaving very nice retention and lacing. The aromas are subtle with lots of cocoa malts. The smoke is there, but not overpowering. The flavors are very bold. Tons of rich milk chocolate. The smoke is there, but subtle. Lots of anise and black licorice notes. Hints of vanilla too. It's on the sweeter side, but absolutely not cloying. There's a subtle warmth in the finish, but it's clean. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed. The mouthfeel is great. It's full-bodied and fluffy with active carbonation; creamy and smooth. It's easy to drink and becomes even more enjoyable as it warms up.
This is a very solid imperial porter. The smoke doesn't seem to dominate, but it definitely lets its presence be known. They stay true to the porter style. Enjoyable brew.

Draft offering at the Pitt location served in a snifter. The brew appears black in color with a brown head. Some patchy lace sticks to the glass and a thin film of brown clarity is seen around the edges.
This brew smells like your clothes after sitting by a campfire...in a good way. It is roasty and earthen with lots of char to the grain giving minor coffee and chocolate quality hiding under smoke.
The taste is quite smokey and earthen with char and molasses-like sweetness with a hint of raisony alcohol. It is almost woody into the aftertaste with the smoke being well integrated and enjoyable and not over-done.
This is a medium bodied brew with a modest amount of carbonation. It is boozy and a sipper. I enjoyed the balance of booze, roast and smoke in this. I would drink it again.

Served on tap at Fat Heads in Pittsburgh. Snifter, thin tan head, similar lacing, blavk coffee color. Looks thick.
Smells roasty. Light coffee and malt.
heavy smoked profile, bacony, smoked meat and tobacco, malt and coffee flavors. Smoked meat/tobacco prominent.
Feels extreemly smooth virtually no carbonation, almost syrupy like a barrel aged stout.
Overall fantastic Porter, one if my favorites.

Pours a dark chocolate brown black color with an even toffee creamy layer of head that rests on top and doesn't subside.
Nice smoky aroma, charcoal, and roasted dark chocolate in the nose.
Follows the nose with a generous portion of smoke, dark chocolate, and Char flavor from start to finish. Concludes with a lingering bitter chocolate and char finish. The alcohol is incredibly well hidden with no effervescence or burn on the way down.
Very thick, full bodied, and silky smooth.
Nicely done.
