I had a 330ml bottle.
Appearance : golden orange colour and good white head with excellent retention.
Aroma : mild cirrus hop aroma with hints of honey.
Flavour: loving the good heft bitterness on the palate and the finish. Well balanced beer. Good mouthfeel with higher end on the carbonation making it refreshing as a well.
Overall: very enjoyable beer.

The rep was promoting the Kooinda range at a function last night. All the beers except the black IPA had a background vinegary infection. Ugly froth was coming out the bottle before I touched it. Couldnt drink my $9 bottle of the stuff.

Disappointing.

Drank from my Gulden Draak Tulip

A - Pours a cloudy Red/Amber colour with an off White head that recedes slowly and laces.

S - Sticky apricots, sweet dates and figs, malty.

T - Taste is a little metallic up front. Some hops follow. Has a rather unpleasant finish reminiscent of extract.

M - Medium body and carbonation.

O - Falls a long way short of S&W or LCPA. The nose is unusual but it doesn't deliver on the taste.

A - Coppery amber body capped by a finger of dense white head that has some retention.

S - Citrus, pear, honey.

T - Pine and citrus with a biscuity malt backbone.

M - Zesty and crisp. Light to medium bodied.

O - Nicely balanced and tasty APA without being a world beater.

Rather murky brown amber. Almost like river sediment. Two-finger slightly off-white head. Touch of lacing and a resilient ring.

Rather malty, with lots of refined gingerbread and nutty aromas. Plenty of vegetative yeasty notes. Hops are well buried, but tropical pineapple aromas come out with some coaxing.

Taste is similar and just as malt forward. There's some hop bitterness but no obvious hop flavour - unless the bready vegetative notes are not yeast driven. Quite a rich combination on the whole.

Quite full bodied for the ABV. Similarly deceptive bitterness that lasts for a while.

Not at all what I expect from an APA but this has got some balls and surprising depth. Drinks like it should be 6%. Impressed.

Pours copper/amber with a small quicky fading head.

Aromas of pine / Coopers yeast(!) / citrus / grapefruit.

Taste of mandarins / pine / hops at back of palate, quite bitter and also quite thin.

Well into SNPA territory here.

Quite well done, but prefer a richer, fuller flavour.

By coincidence this was mentioned on SEN on Beer o clock , I chanced into a bottle shop and there it was. Was it an omen ?
This looks as good as a beer can look , but saying that another one a little better ill come along , hence I didnt give it a five.
A fulsome deeply flavoured ale that has quite a bitter twang to it The rich malts are complimented by tropical fruits with an essence of flowers to it .
I would love to settle into an evening of this on tap

Pours a lovely bright, slightly coppery golden colour with a full head of frothy foam that seemed to take some effort to promote; however much of the carbonation seemed caught up in the heavier-than-average body, meaning it just coalesced late into a full crown. Minimal lacing, fine carbonation. Looks very nice.

Nose is very pleasantly fresh and crisp, with some sweeter, rounder tropical fruit aromas to go with the dominant zesty citrus characters. Slight nutty malt behind it which gives it a depth without really clashing with the hops.

Taste is clear and pleasant, with a slight bite of bitterness on the back, very nicely balanced with more of that nutty malt character, which gives a slight grainy, almondy character on the finish. Crisp feel, with some weight to cushion the hops. Very nicely balanced.

Very drinkable and crisp, and very well balanced for sessionability. This is a cracking APA (take the first 'A' to stand for what you will); I'd say a match for Little Creatures or Sierra Nevada.

This brew pours a murky orange, honey hue with average carbonation that leaves behind a creamy one finger head and minimal lacing, the smell is a mix of aromas of honey, orange zest, peaches and caramel,it has a nice sticky mouthfeel to it which isnt overcarbonated and leaves you tastes of honeydew, butterscotch, passionfruit and some caramel which really coats the bitterness to make the finish not really that bitter at all, overall a nice brew that i could drink more than one of.

Pale amber colour with a small off white head. Slightly hazy. Head retention isn't great.

Strong hop aroma of mandarin and passionfruit. Low level of sweetness. A hint of fruity esters. Pretty good.

Moderate citrussy American hop flavour. Good, moderate bitterness that lingers but is a little bit harsh. The malt is pretty much all in the background. Moderately dry finish. It may be slightly underattenuated.

Medium light body with moderately high carbonation. The carbonation isn't particularly well integrated into the beer. Not as smooth as it could be.

A tasty APA which has been done well. This isn't an APA done for the sake of it, it has been done because the brewery cares; and it shows.

This poured a murky dark golden colour with almost no head.

Sweet caramel malts on the nose. Some hop florals in there as well.
A nice mix of the hops and the malts playing on the palate. A little bit of sweetness in there.

Good drying bitterness. Medium bodied. Fullish carbonation.

Good start by these guys. I'll revisit this one.
