330ml bottle poured into IPA glass.
L - auburn, hazy, pours a creamy biege head, good retention.
S - musty toasted malts, toffee, and a mix of dark fruit (prunes, dates) and berries.
T - English malts dominate - slightly bitter, earthy, with a touch of walnuts and cherries.
M - creamy texture with a faintly dry finish, moderate carbonation, heavy bodied,
O - good version of this style - the fruity flavours combine well with the malty flavour

Pours coppery brown with a large, off-white head.
Nose shows creamy, nutty malt. Very little else.
Flavours include bready, toasty malt. Again, not particularly interesting.
Carbonation seems a little over the top.
Nothing wrong with, just not really captivating in any way.

Another new release and i know it says English Red but this is the closest category and it pours a dark ruby red hue which leaves a fast vanishing one finger wispy head and sporadic lacing, the smell is all about the malts with caramel, toffee, toasted malts and herbal hops, the mouthfeel is medium bodied and quite fullish with tastes of burnt toffee, caramel, roasted malts, herbal earthy hops and the finish is quite dry and overall its alright and very malty but nothing flash cheers.
