It appears brown reddish with a thin layer of white head.
Smells very strongly of nutty rye there is also hints of citrusy hops.
IT tastes very much so like rye: there is a subdued nuttiness and a noticeable grainy flavor. There is a healthy presence of hops which give the beer citrus notes and bitterness. Overall a very good rye ale. In A lot of rye ales I find it difficult to notice the rye but in this one the rye is very present.
It has a moderate low carbonation level. The drinkability of this quite good, I drank a few of these. This is one of the best beers I have had from riverport. It is very good hoppy rye pale ale.
