Pours orange amber with a nice thick white head-nice looking.
Nose is very sweet candi fruit, big cooked fresh pears but nice, clean and rich.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, light creamy character and nice carbonation, although a bit "fizzy."
Flavors are assertive burnt carmel, sweet coffee, sherry and light whiskey in character. The whiskey character dominates as you drink this one and the fizzy character becomes bothersome and takes away some of the drinkability.
Burnt toast bitter fig finish.
Interesting effort that has potential but just doesn't come together in this Riverside County, California beer.

Bomber from La Bodega. $4.49.
Pours out light amber, slightly cloudy. Robust head with decent retention and bubbling up from the sides of the glass. Aroma is primarily caramel malts with some hops bittering, pineapple if I had to describe it. Some citric or uric acid. Sour apple juice.
The first thing to hit my tongue is a fruity hoppy character that combines apples and oranges, followed up by wave of messy earthiness. Lots of mashed peas. Vegetal pea finish. This hits pretty far away from the mark. Medium body with a delicate carbonation.
Not a particularly nice beer with a lingering pea flavor. Difficult to drink, drainpoured most of the bomber. I hate to bash a brand new brewery, but this beer was just bad.

Since it was a new beer to me I had to try it.
Little did I relaize that they are a fairly new brewery.
App-a very bright orange color with a bit of an amber Hue. Head disappears quickly in this one,but Carbonation is very present (esp in Mf).
Ar-booze,dates and/or figs(?), pale malt, and sweet fermented... something i cant quite put my finger on it)
T- taste is somewhat similar to a MaiBock style but a little bit harsh in this beer.sweetnes is defintely present,as well as a strong alcoholic malt taste. not very balanced. I also get maple in the lingering finish.
MF- as I mentioned earlier, carbonation is present; however now that I let it warm up a bit, I dont get it as much. very strong presence in the MF, not very drinkable in my opinion. it starts to just become a bother to drink/finish this beer.
Even though I wasn't a fan of the beer, I gotta give respect to an upcoming brewery.
