1810 Prince Ludwig
LOOK: The original Oktoberfest brew states the menu. 1810 Prince Ludwig is a deep copper colored brew with a huge rocky foam that laces the liter mug very heavily.
SMELL: The aroma is of rich malts and floral, noble hop varieties. Caramel like malt is apparent in the nose.
TASTE: Caramelized malt to the tune of a Munich Oktoberfest. Very clean barley notes and fresh tasting, leafy, noble hops. There is a small, spicy quality to the hops which is most delicious.
FEEL: Medium bodied and well carbonated, finishes with a dry hop bite.
OVERALL: A very flavorful amber lager that is just as good today as was the original inspiration in 1810. Went great with beer cheese and pretzels.

A- Clear orange amber nice German head of off white foam forming thick rings of lace
S- Malty sweet grainy very very fresh with some earthy hops and
Cinnamon and brown sugar aromas
T- nice fresh very malty with nice crisp hoppy balance tastes American as I should since they brew it on site.
F- fizzy but nice compliment to the full body
D- great german beer made in pittsburgh. More akin to A heavy full flavored version of oktoberefest than a Munich dunkel

Draught in Pittsburgh location: This one poured a cloudy, amber tinged dark golden yellow color. It had a large white head that left lots of lacing. This one had a decent, although a bit lighter nose. Some earthiness and malts. The taste is good. Medium bodied, some malts, earthiness, just a hint of sweetness. This is very easy to drink.
