On tap.
Deep amber-to-brown body with average, frothy, tan head, mostly diminishing with some lacing.
Moderate malty (toasted) aroma with notes of red fruits, coffee and licorice.
Moderate-to-heavy bitter flavour with light sweet notes.
Light-to-medium body with watery-to-oily texture; soft carbonation.
A bit thinner than expected, maybe because on tap.

L - clear, red amber with good head.
S - red forest fruit
T - red forest fruit, but kinda watery... If this were just a tad more malty or toasty this would've been a great beer.
F - refreshing as the 9% is very well hidden, but that makes it kinda dangerous as it is very watery and drinks easily.
O - deceptively high in abv for a beer that struck me as being slightly watery. If you want to pin down that red forest fruitiness in beers, however, this beer is perfect to taste it in.
Disclaimer: I did taste it in between two somewhat heavier ones during a beer fest, so my palate may have simply been wrecked by that point... I suspect it is better than I remember my first impression to have been, and I did get a very, very strong association with a nice long summer's walk in a forest picking blueberries despite it, which is a definite plus in my book.
I do recommend this one.

Quite a good Belgian strong dark ale, notes of caramel, prunes, dried fruit (figs, raisins) and alcohol. Sticky and warm mouthfeel, and a nice dried-fruit-sweet aftertaste.
