Brewed solely for the Delhaze supermarket chain (I think). Anyway my review is of a 25cl brown bottle purchased in said supermarket. It has a drink by date of 4 Jun 09, I drank it on 21 feb 09.
Poured into a 'Hougaerdse DAS' tumbler.
Grapefruit in colour, a pale yellow. Sat on top was a firm white head (at first), this tried to stay for a while.
Semi-sour citrus aromas crept out the bottle and glass a mix of lemon and grapefruits. The flavours within the taste were very simular.
The beer was tangy and sharp, not as carbonated as other Witbiers I've had (Hoegaarden, etc) but it was still lively. Spiced with something, cinnamon maybe, or nutmeg?
Not bad at all for a cheap Witbier.

Straw-colored-yellow, little hazy. White and creamy head, less on the sides.
Very fresh in the smell, with pepper, white flowers, bitter orange peel, anise. The yeast, and something fruity (peach, apricot, white fruit, anyway). Pineapple and tropical fruit. Some astringency.
In the taste again pineapple, and green apple, and astringency. Very attenuated the spicy notes. Little soapy. The smell is better.
In the aftertaste green apple, and and unusual sweetness. Very astringent. In the end some spices again, but very light.
Thin body, calssic. A disappointment, after the smell promises.
