Shared 33cL bottle at La Sylene in Toulouse, FR, poured into a tumbler. Good foam at first, but it faded fast into the golden ale.
Aroma is backdropped, very slight malt and yeast notes.
Taste is Affligem’s gentle fruitiness backed with subtle bitterness. It’s malty, and there’s not much hops presence. I get a tropical citrus pop and familiar banana. There’s a smooth and slightly bitter finish.
Mouth is nicely full, albeit a tad sugary sticky, leaning to high carbonation.
Overall, it’s a fair no-alc interpretation of a good Blonde ale.
