Dark, copper-red body; thick, sculptured head resting on top. Sweet, caramel aroma; very faint notes of citrus. Buttery, spicy flavor; caramel; hints of pine resin; decent hop bitterness. Medium-heavy in body; semi-sweet finish.
A so-so IPA overall. It strongly leads towards some diacetyl overload. There's no date/time stamp on the can, so it's difficult to judge how long this IPA has been sitting around, but the hop character (assuming there was much of it to begin with) is pretty much subdued by a sugary, butterscotch taste. Drinkable in a pinch...
